A Canadian farmer explains how he cares for his chickens.
Transcript:
William - The first thing we would do is check monitors to make sure the feed and water is working properly. And then we would check temperatures, and actually go into the barn to make sure that the fans are working properly. And that the heaters are actually working. I will walk through the barn twice a day and it's mainly to check that the birds are healthy and that all the feed lines are working properly. The water is getting to the far end of the barn. As the chickens grow everyday, we raise the water lines almost everyday to suit them. We work very closely with our feed company. We ask a poultry nutritionist to stop by, as he's the best one to advise us as to what feed we actually feed the birds. And if there's a problem he can be here within the hour and solve it.
