Our member Robbie Hildred recorded this pair of foxes mating in his garden in Greenford, Ealing in January 2013, the height of the fox breeding season. You may have heard them barking and screaming at night at this time of year.
You'll notice that much like dogs, they 'lock' in a mating position after a successful copulation. The male has a 'bulbis glandis' which swells inside the female locking them together. They can remain tied for up to an hour!
